Madison City Lake Rules and Regulations
Camping
1. No person or persons shall camp for more than 7 days at any one given time without special permission of the
mayor.
2. No person or persons shall camp or pitch a tent within 75 feet of any shelter house, boat dock,
boat ramp, or fishing pier. The shelter houses are to be used for meals only and then vacated for
use by others.

3. All persons not defined as residents shall pay a non-resident camping fee of $10.00 per night or
24-hour period with a 14 day maximum.

4. The fee for electrical and water hook-up is $15.00 per 24-hour period with a 14 day maximum.
5. The City does not have a dump station for sewage. Campers with sewage storage units are
responsible for removing their sewage from the lake premises. Under no circumstances shall raw
sewage be dumped onto the ground or dumped into the toilets.
