Madison City Lake Rules and Regulations

Any Violations and/or Criminal Damage to Property

Any person who, upon conviction, is found guilty of violating any of the provisions of the established rules and regulations, shall be fined in an amount not to exceed $500 and/or imprisonment of not more than 30 days. In addition, such person shall, at Municipal Judge's discretion, be issued public service hours.

Please note: Fees and rates provided in these rules and regulations are subject to change, and may not reflect the most current changes. Therefore, no way binds the City/Officials to collect the amounts stated, if that amount has since been changed by the Governing Body.

The information contained on our Madison City Lake web page is a summation of the ordinances establishing the lake rules and regulations. All city ordinances relating to public offenses are enforceable at the City Lake. It would be tedious to list all the offenses that can be enforced. Therefore, be aware that this web page does not contain all the rules, regulations, and laws. You may look at the City Code for more information. The context of this web page shall not be a defense to any defendant who is negligent of the law.

Thank you for keeping our lake beautiful by disposing of litter in the trash barrels provided and ensuring that you leave our new restrooms clean and tidy. In the future we hope to include additional lake improvements as funding is available.
